Want to join the Verdisian Defence Force?
The Verdisian Defence Force is currently recruiting citizens and non-citizens. Currently, recruitment for the Defence Force is split into 3 applications. Depending on if you are a citizen, non-citizen or wishing to apply to a certain role, you should select the right pathway application or your application may be rejected.
To start your application, please select a pathway, and follow the relevant instructions for your desired pathway. PLEASE NOTE: The VDF are currently operating as volunteer based, we do not provide a salary or payment for work within the VDF, although in the future may be changed.
Pathway 1 - Enlistment for citizens
Pathway 1 is for Verdisian citizens that wish to join the VDF as an enlisted member. As an enlisted member, you will be the backbone for all military operations. Carrying out events around the globe, representing the Free Republic of Verdis as a proud citizen. You will be responsible for ensuring the national interest of the country is protected.
The full requirements include:
- Citizen of The Free Republic of Verdis
- Over the age of 18
- Good level of fitness
- Ability to provide time and effort to attending events and operations
- Ability to join overseas operations
- Medically suitable for military events and operations

If the information in your email is correct, you will receive a response with the full Pathway 1 application form. You will also be provided with a dedicated recruiter, who can support you during your application process.
Pathway 2 - Direct officer entry for citizens
Pathway 2 is for Verdisian citizens that wish to join the VDF as an officer. As an officer, you will be dynamic, enthusiastic and a charismatic leader who have the privilege to command enlisted members of the VDF. You will be responsible for the management, administration, and involvement of both operations and personnel.
You must have prior military, leadership or management experience (proof will be required), and you must be able to maintain the core values of the Verdisian Defence Force.
The full requirements include:
- Citizen of The Free Republic of Verdis
- Over the age of 18
- Prior Military Experience in a leadership position
- Education in leadership or management
- Education or prior skills in IT management.
- Good level of fitness
- Ability to provide time and effort towards management of personnel
- Ability to join overseas operations
- Medically suitable for military events and operations

Pathway 3 - Enlistment for non-citizens (Pathway to citizenship)
Pathway 3 is for non-citizens that wish to join the VDF as an enlisted member. Like foreign legions, Pathway 3 allows personnel from other nations to join a “Pathway to citizenship via military service” – which means, if you serve in the VDF through a probation period, you will gain citizenship for the Free Republic of Verdis. The probation period for this pathway means that you will voluntarily serve the VDF for 1 year before gaining a permanent citizenship.
The full requirements include:
- Interested in obtaining citizenship for the Free Republic of Verdis
- Over the age of 18
- Ability to meet a Verdisian Official in person prior to joining
- Ability/education in any of the following languages: English, Croatian, Serbian
- Education or prior experience in military, leadership, survival or management skills
- Good level of fitness
- Ability to provide time and effort towards service, operations and events
- Ability to join overseas operations
- Medically suitable for military events and operations
Probation period: If you are accepted for this pathway program, You will obtain a temporary citizenship straight away. For the first year, you will serve a probation period (1 year maximum), in which you must attend one VDF event or operation. After the probation period, an interview with your officer will be made to decide if you should stay in the VDF and acquire full citizenship, or not. If you fail this probation period, you may apply again in 2 years.
